Today’s Black youth are not properly socialized. Young Black youth don’t play outside or participate in unsupervised activities any more. They don’t learn the group dynamics of how to handle interpersonal conflict on their own. They don’t know how to resolve problems of aggression directed towards them for no understandable reasons. There is a serious problem with this behavior when they don’t recognize those transparent indicators. They have no experience with gaging the level of threats to respond with an appropriate action. It’s not surprising that they “Square Up” when facing aggression to protect themselves. It’s all they know. Fruit
