Today’s Holiday: Kristallnacht: also referred to as the Night of Broken Glass, was a series of coordinated attacks against Jews throughout Nazi Germany and parts of Austria on Nov 9-10, 1938, The name comes from the shards of broken glass that littered the streets after Jewish owned stores, building, and synagogues had their windows smashed On this day, this was well covered by and reported as it happened, and still the U.S. did nothing, this was 1938, over 1000 synagogues burned, 90 people killed, 30,000 arrested for being Jewish, and yes it was covered by the news as it happened, why didn’t this country do anything?
