Today’s Holidays/Observances Curmudgeons Day: Curmudgeon is a grumpy ill-tempered person, its generally a term used for older men who are stuck in their ways, expecting everyone to line up with their way of thinking… or else, think of Mr. Potter in “It’s a Wonderful Life” Freethinkers Day: also known as Thomas Paine Day: celebrates the life and work of Thomas Paine, born on this day in 1737, he wrote many influential books including, The Age of Reason, The Rights of Men, and Common Sense, he was one of the first people to call for the end to slavery and universal human right, Freethinker Day, purpose is to educate people about Paine’s work and the importance of freethinking and freedom National Puzzle Day: Don’t be puzzled by today, haha, puzzles of all sizes shapes and form, Crossword puzzles are by far the most common Seeing Eye Dog Day: the first guide school was founded on Jan 29, 1929 in Nashville, the school moved to New Jersey where it still operates today On this day, Older Men stuck in their ways? Because they are right most of the time? Grumpy? Ill-tempered? Grrrr, just do it my way and everyone will be happy, haha; Common Sense and Freethinker, today this world is short of both, yes I am curmudgeon; my wife always used to love puzzles, and I was never good at, I miss her so; my grandfather was blind but he just used a cane, I guess you had to pay for the dogs, I hope that’s not like that now, Tomorrows Day, Inane Answering Message, that’s it, have fun today
