Today’s Leadership Note (20 sec read) We each realize how much we dislike someone jumping to conclusions before they hear us fully explain a situation. In ministry leadership, many major concerns can arise, such as child safety issues, disgruntled parents, an incident that could potentially affect the church’s reputation, etc. When you are faced with an issue that’s potential magnitude causes fears to swell and your mind to race, be sure to not react without hearing the facts from those involved, especially your leaders/workers. Proverbs 18:13 says, “Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish.” If you allow fear to affect your judgment, you set yourself up for unpleasant results. Similarly, James 1:19 reminds us to be slow to speak. Take control of your fears and racing mind, listen to the facts, and let God’s Spirit give you generous amounts of wisdom (James 1:5)! --Pastor Gary Childrens Ministry Today ChildrensMinistry.org/
