Today’s Sermon Title: Rosh Ha’Shanah begins the Trumpets’ Festival: Messiah said He’d Receive His bride at a Future Trumpets. Scripture Reading: Acts 1:6-9 “When the apostles were with Yeshua, they kept asking him, ‘Master, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?’ He replied, ‘The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. After saying this, He was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.’” Introduction Headline: Yeshua Commanded His Last Days’ Assemblies to Recognize, Understand, and Know the Meaning of Last Days’ signs. Introduction Text: Yeshua told us what was going to happen in the Last Days, beginning with Israel’s rebirth from late November 1947, until now, and to understand His Festivals during His Prophetic Last Days. We have discussed over the recent weeks how the Communion of Messiah’s Table is a Promise of Yeshua’s Return, which is promised in John 14, and is followed by the Festival of Trumpets. We have discussed the Traditional Jewish Wedding and how it’s a type of the Prophetic Rapture Event, and will see it in the Prophetic Events of the Festival of Trumpets. Many western thinking teachers, pastors, theologians in Messiah’s Congregations believe that we, as followers of Messiah, are not to know the times and epochs of Messiah’s Return. But is that really true? Nope. We have to look at the context of that passage in Acts 1, determine just who the audience was who heard Him proclaim this, and why it’s pertinent only to them. This conversation took place 10 days before Shavuot, the Festival of Pentecost, as the disciples pestered Messiah to give them an answer concerning the events surrounding His return. Pentecost is the last of the 4 Spring and Summer Festivals of Israel that were fulfilled in 30 A.D., leaving the remaining 3 to be fulfilled. The Festival of Trumpets is the next to be fulfilled. Matthew 24:3 says, “Yeshua sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and asked, ‘Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of this eon (or, the period of time when this age will come to an end)?’” The disciples wanted answers for something that didn’t concern them, nor any of their business. The timeline of Messiah’s Return was set by Yahweh and couldn’t be changed for any reason. Messiah told His disciples to stick to their own business and that to stay focused on their own generation, to fulfill His Great Commission to them after they were baptized in the Holy Spirit. His Last Days’ Timeline was reserved only for those who experienced it. That group of believers is us, the last generation preceding Messiah’s Return. He told us we’d know it by its signs. Consider this illustration: if you were told you wouldn’t die until 2015 by the Almighty, would you change the way you live now, or wait until just before you were supposed to die? If Yeshua had told His disciples that He wouldn’t return for 2 millennia, would they have had the evangelical fervor they exhibited when they worked to reach their world with His Good News? How this applies to Rosh Ha’Shanah is that it is seen a Type and Shadow of Messiah’s Imminent and Glorious return, following the Ingathering of His “Rapture Ready” Bride in the Last Days. When Yeshua returns for His “Rapture Ready” Bride, we will watch Him return for us as He left: in Power and Glory. This is not His 2nd coming, when He will descend as our Conquering King.
