Tolley, Glynis Cacavas and Kat Cacavas at Kamikwae on Sierra Leone Independence Day. It was more than just a celebration for SL independence. Glynis and I have finally met with our sponsored young man and well-named, Fuday Tholley, and Kats sponsored young lady Sally - another very emotional moment in Salone. This most special morning of the 28/04/2014 and then followed by the 75 children of the Orpanage putting on a special show for Kats mama and papa, and there was more!! Tholley loved his new Messi football shirt, as it turns out he is one of the heroes for these children... good choice Tolley!! Fuday Tholley and Sally both value their education - and our visit seemed to generate respectful and genuine excitement for them. Thanks to those at the Orphanage for looking after these delightful young people, and thank you to the social worker Sally, and of course our own Kat for building these amazing relationships with the local people and their children, and for being there at the start when they built several classrooms, for which we are told now attract nearly 500 students from all over - that means 50-60 per class... and they value their opportunities
