Tom Keffer is enjoying his new position at GPB, and is really excited that he gets to enjoy the upcoming 3-day weekend, and actually gets all three days off! He usually worked holidays at TWC, so this is a nice treat. He asked me last night before he went to bed if I could find a fun, inexpensive place to take a little weekend trip to. I decided to look at redeeming some of our points from a credit card for a free 2-night stay and searched for the lowest-cost level hotels within a 3 hour drive. Found a tier-1 (lowest points cost possible) reward stay in Cookeville TN with a couple of nice state parks and a winery nearby, cute walkable historic town, and a nearby restaurant that has a blues band playing Saturday night. Perfect! I booked this morning, and surprise! For some reason they offered me the second night for FREE -- so I only have to redeem a few points to cover the cost of the first night. Sweet!! :)
