Tom, this is a true story, though from some time ago now.. A car - TopicsExpress

Tom, this is a true story, though from some time ago now.. A car once *almost* drove into myself and my partner because it shot through a red light at an intersection near where I live in Sunshine. I immediately called the police, for the officer on the line to only tell me that there was nothing that they could do. I didnt understand why when I had handed over all the details of the vehicle involved. I was told by them that unless an officer actually witnesses a traffic crime - there is nothing that they can do. Now, I know a bit about the law and ended up having a bit of an argument with this officer at that point, during which they told me that the police do not consider Taffic Law to be Criminal Law (untrue. it is a type of criminal law.) and even if I were to go into the police station and give them evidence. There was nothing that they could do. This even included, and I quote, What if you saw CCTV footage of the incident? No. The police must have been present when the incident occurs. This is Sunshine Police Station for you. Stubbiesnall. I raise this, because, I wish to point out to you, there is no point in registering cyclists. They would only have done something if the crime was seen by a member of the police force. (As I said, according to Sunshine police). I wonder if this means, as long as there isnt a cop at an intersection to witness it, you can do whatever you like on the roads?
