Tom took me back to surgeon today. The upper tumor was cancer and the doctor who read the mammogram and ultrasound results said the lower tumor was not cancer. Dr. Hird is very thorough so he removed the one the radiologist said was not cancer too and cleaned around both tumors. Just found out today that the lower tumor was ALSO cancer so I am thankful he took it out and I dont have to go through another surgery. I thought radiation would begin really soon but he said it has to heal and will be 6-8 weeks before it begins. Another thing we found out today was that there were some little floating cells(??) in the lymph nodes so I will also be taking medicine by mouth 5-10 years. Just wanted to update you. Wasnt really what we nor the doctor expected to hear but its OK--- GODS GOT THIS!
