Tomorrow???? Tomorrow morning should be interesting. We may well wake up to a situation where all the climate change denying, war mongering, poor hating, gun advocating 2nd amendment revisionist, animal killing, Monsanto loving, anti-healthcare politicians are in control of both houses. The American political system as it is, now reminds me of a famous quote by Winston Churchill: “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.” But another quote from Churchill is more reassuring: “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after theyve tried everything else.” So lets try a little tea-partying and a few more years of schools being shot up, weather conditions deteriorating, more homelessness and more police state mentality as the nation slides into a state that is rapidly evolving into the idiotocracy. As for me, I’m just happy that my state Vermont still retains its common sense and ethical sensibilities for I am certain we shall retain what we have come tomorrow. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the nation.
