Tomorrow been the 6th of June the holy mother church celebrates the memoria of Saint Norbert , Bishop. Born about the year 1080 in Rhineland, he became a canon of the cathedral of Xanten, but later underwent a conversion from his worldly life and adopted a regular rule of life and became a priest in the 1115. He went through France and Germany and other places preaching the word of God, and with the help of companions who joined him, laid the foundations of the Premonstratensian order and set up a number of monasteries. In 1126 he was elected Archbishop of Magdeburg, in which position he carried out reforms in the religious life of the people and spread the faith among the pagans living nearby. He died in the year 1134. Tomorrow’s Reading is taken from ( Tobit 6:10-17; 7:1.9-14; 8:4-9) Raphael said to the young man, “Tobias, my brother” “yes”, he answered. Raphael said, “ let us stay tonight with Raguel, who is a relative of yours. He has a daughter named Sarah. When they arrived in Ecbatana Tobias said to Raphael, “ Brother Azarias, take me straightway to our brother Raguel. “ so Raphael led Tobias to Raguel’s house, Tobias said to Raphael, “ Brother Azarais, tell Raguel to give me Sarah my kinswoman.” Raguel overhead the conversation and said to Tobias. “ you more than anyone else, have the right to take Sarah my daughter because you are my kinsman. Indeed I cannot give her to any other man but you, take her right now; I give her to you according to the law of Moses and you have to understand that God himself gives her to you. “He called his daughter Sarah and taking her by the hand he gave her to Tobias as his wife. When Sarah’s parents had left the room and closed the door, Tobias got up from the bed and told Sarah “Get up my sister let us ask the Lord to have mercy on us and save us”. She got up and they began to pray, asking that they be given life. Have mercy on us and grant us long life together. Then, together they said, “ Amen, Amen”, and went to bed for the night. While the gospel is that according to ( Mark 12:28-34). A teacher of the law had been listening to his discussion and admired how Jesus answered them. So he came up and asked him, “ Which commandment is the first of all?” Jesus answered, “ The first is: hear, Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. And the second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” The teacher of the law said to him, “ Well spoken, Master; you are right when you said that he is one and there is no other. “ Jesus approved this answer and said, “ You are not far from the kingdom of God.” But after that, no one dared to ask him any more questions.
