Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Fifty years of progress, of the dismantling of federally and state-mandated segregation, of the creation of economic prosperity, of better access to educational opportunities, of racial reconciliation. And yet, in some ways much of that progress is marred by todays mainstream medias and academic institutions insistence on racial strife (e.g. white guilt/white privilege), and socially acceptable racial division through entertainment and politics. How do you think the country has fared over the past 50 years. What can help achieve the original goals of the civil rights movement?
