Tomorrow is the big day. I wanted to take this opportunity to warn you fine folks that I will be posting quite a bit tomorrow and throughout Wests recovery process. I do not do this to be gratuitous or fish for sympathy. I do this to help future parents facing this massive, terrifying surgery with their baby. I have found timelines, blogs, and videos from other parents to be so weirdly comforting. Knowing what to expect, even down to the very hour, is sort of empowering… especially in a situation where we parents are left feeling so powerless. So, be ready for swollen, pitiful-looking West updates. Also, many of you have asked if we would like to have a meal train set up. Thank you and, yes! That is in the works and I will post here and on my FB page when its all ready to go. SOME of you have already gifted us meals and helped around the house and offered special prayers, and you know who you are and you know you made our lives that much better and easier.
