Tomorrow marks one year cancer free. When I was given my diagnosis I told my Nana about how I wasnt ready to leave this life. I still had so many places to see. The first place I mentioned was Peru and Machu Picchu. When she showed up at my first chemotherapy session she brought with her a torn page from a calendar. On it was a beautiful photo of Machu Picchu. She told me, Once you have finished your treatment, you will go there to celebrate. I kept that picture next to my bed for the duration of my treatment completely focused on getting healthy and getting to the top of that mountain. Now I am here. One year later. Healthy and happy. Literally JUMPING for JOY! Thank you to my friends and family for your continuous support and love. Now on to the next adventure, to marry my best friend and partner in crime, Fily Bencomo.
