Tomorrow my Mom would have been 71. I still cant believe we only had 45 years together. Life goes by too fast, but sometimes we dont realize how fast until its too late. Wish I could re-do some of our years together when we werent getting along so great and didnt have open lines of communication for whatever reasons. We had a lot of time to talk near the end as the cancer slowly, then quickly, grew and snuffed out her life. Im thankful for those conversations. I cherish those memories of our time together at MD Anderson and the hospitals here in Austin as well as the Hospice Christopher House. We were thick as thieves at the end and Im grateful I had an opportunity to take care of her as delicately as possible and gently walk her home. Tomorrow will probably be hard, but I know she will be with us all day. Lord she loved her birthday!! No way would she miss it. Love her. Miss her. Glad her love will never leave me, us, all of those she loved and that loved her.
