Tomorrow my mother will make her way to the 35th Annual Belt Buckle Bonanza. She blazed a trail in a male dominated industry constantly striving to make this state a more active, vital and beneficial place for Texas junior livestock exhibitors to show, grow and have a an Organization that rewarded not only the exhibitors with opportunity, knowledge, skill and awards but also helped those who wanted to make a living in this industry we love a more prosperous for the experts, breeders and salesman. She has given constantly of her time, talent, effort, energy, sanity and personal wealth to ensure that this organization has remained for 35 years to help prosper every child who chose to participate in the TJLA for the past 35 years. It has never been easy and she has received way more ridicule than praises and yet she continues on with her mega watt smile and positive attitude! Thousands have benefited from her intelligence, stamina, craft and generous and huge heart! It had been said imitation is the greatest form of flattery while that maybe true... No person, team or group could ever come close to what My mother has accomplished for the TX livestock exhibitors, there families, supporters, or what she has accomplished for herself!!! I am eternally grateful to know, love and learn from her and most importantly call her MOM! I am so proud of you Cherie Carrabba , the TJLA and the Belt Buckle Bonanza!!!
