Tomorrow on January 2nd I am privileged to once again take the Oath Of Office as Magistrate 1st District in Kenton County Kentucky. I LOVE MY JOB!! It is one that I will cherish. I believe in what I do and how I advocate for it and what it stands for. Yes, I AM THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE!! I Marry couples who wish to be married. I follow the LAW! I always have and I always will. I speak up when I need to even if it costs me dearly, and it has, especially not being elected one time and having my Retirement taken from me because I spoke up about wrongs to the Citizens of Kenton County. I did what I thought was right. I will remember all of this as I am sworn in by Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Michelle Keller at Covington Latin tomorrow night; of this I will be especially PROUD! I am proud that I have been performing my job since 1989. I will also be proud as long as I perform my duties. I really feel I am helping people. I love the Wedding Industry and everyone in it, even if I have differences of opinion. To all of the people I have been associated throughout all of the years, to all of the couples Win or Lose, or, they came back again, and all of their families and friends, thank you. To all of those in the Media, especially my old friend Patrick Crowley, thanks. To all of you in the Press and Magazines and Photographers, Reporters, and of course TV News from all over the place, including John Lomax, Greg Singleton, Patrick Story, Patrick Reddy, Dennis Janson and so many others. One of the big highlights is when I was contacted by the New York Times and actually had my comments concerning Marriage and Insurance and Healthcare during the Presidential Election wound up on the FRONT PAGE of The New York Times in 2008. Yep there was a lot of times, some good, some not so good, but always a day I can wake up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror and LOVE WHAT I DO! Especially with all of my Parrot Heads!! Thanks everyone for continuing to let me do what I do!!! I am raising my hand again to the Old Kentucky Constitution!! Oh The Sun Shines bright on my Old Kentucky Home!!!
