Tomorrow the Governor will be in Orlando to sign SB 142 - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow the Governor will be in Orlando to sign SB 142 Intellectual Disabilities, also known as “eliminating the R-word”. This bill signing will take place at the start of The Agency for Persons with Disabilities Town Hall Meeting. The purpose of these town hall meetings is to listen to suggestions and concerns from customers and providers, and to use these ideas to help shape what the agency should focus on in the future. We hope you will consider attending so we can show the Governor and APD that our community is engaged. Hope to see you there! For those unable to attend the meeting you can submit questions through Twitter @FloridaAPD. Here are the details: On August 22 from 2p.m.-4p.m. the Agency for Persons with Disabilities Director Barbara Palmer will discuss the legislative session outcomes and successes and answer any questions or concerns from attendees. The event is located at: Orange County Barnett Park Recreation Center 4801 W. Colonial Drive Orlando, FL 32808
