Tomorrow, twenty-one years ago my brother Eddie, passed on from a dreadful diesease which at the time no one knew how to cure. It is much different today, and many people now have a chance at living a full and uncomplicated life. In 1993, we lived in a much different world. A world, where people fought hard just to be heard. A world where the poor longed to have a voice, and the elderly just wanted a chance to live with respect and dignity. Yes, it was a very different world back in 1993. Yet, nothing has changed much in many ways. Today people still fight for Peace and Justice. People still want and need to be heard and now with Ebola, many people just want to live one more day. One more Hour. But sadly, we still live in a world where prejudice, ignorance, judgements and discrimination even today reign supreme. But it doesnt have to be this way. Not today. Not Ever. It is written... BE, the Change that you Seek. So, on behalf of my brother Eddie, who no longer has a voice, I AM his voice, and I dont plan to stop being his voice any time soon. So, Stand Up, Be Proud, Be One in our solemn quest to build a much perfect world, not by what we say... But by what we Do for each other. I lost my brother in 1993, and it did not have to be this way, but it is done. We can only move forward, day by day, week by week, in Hopes of building a Better tomorrow. So wont you join me, in building a better world by what we do. By lifting up the disenfranchised, and speaking out where there is injustice. By just being present at a time and place, to say, . . .
