Tomorrow we announce a new singing to New Damage Records. I remember when the band 1st played MindBomb in St.Catharines and blew everyone away. I cant remember how many people attended the 1st show at the time but when they came back shortly their after, it quadrupled in size based on word of mouth. The word was that this band was a full tilt rock and roll experience with a lead singer that knew how to put on a show. I remember meeting the lead singer for the first time at one of my shows at the Hideaway. He was a very nice, well spoken dude that had strong opinions and was almost a music historian with his knowledge of music. He was telling me about the label they were signing to, of which I was a fan. At that time I really liked Satanic Surfers, Last Days of April, Hard Ons and I think Logh was out or coming out around then, dont remember. I didnt know many Canadian bands that were actually leaving Canada in those days and loved hearing about their drive to make it on a global level. The only other bands in my wheel house at that time was Grade (Dine Alone re-issue coming soon) It was those conversations I had, which were few are far between, that stayed with me and motivated me to go out beyond the walls of Mindbomb, The Hideaway, L3, Niagara, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and beyond. Those conversations with those amazing artists that had a vision and drive to take this thing as far as they could. I always wanted to be apart of something like that. Never had an ambition to be in a band but wanted to be involved in music and doing something from the ground up, not unlike our new signing. Tomorrow my other label, New Damage, announces a friend and a influence on my career will be joining our little label that could. I have a feeling tomorrow will be just a beautiful day ;)
