Tomorrow we vote whether or not to improve the athletic facilities at Joel Barlow High School. In 2011, the last time Redding Voters were asked to approve a fields project, the measure failed by a vote of 684 to 519. The last time we had a state grant from the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) of $500,000 which would have paid for half of the project. I kid you not, we Redding voters decided to tell the State to keep its $500,000 and voted down the field project even though we could have had it for half price. There are 7,690 registered voters in town today. In 2011 the loss margin was 165 votes. Polls are open from 6am until 8pm at the Redding Community Center.
