Tomorrow will be the 30th of May Tomorrow, we celebrate another Anguilla day Tomorrow we reflect on what could have been The vision of those who had foreseen The reason why we went our way Is still not realized to this day a fleeting democracy and freedom instead we settle with whatever comes and tomorrow we revel with boat rides, music, food and rum Not worried about what’s to come So much unrealized dreams were dashed And so many plans were crashed The silly season divides us all But I believe soon we will again stand tall Bit by bit we will get there If we are all prepared to share To share in the responsibility of building a nation Brick by brick, callous hand by callous hand Revolutionizing our thoughts, plans and schemes Our resources is much more than sand and sea 200 miles of ocean to explore Yet we only go out to 40, no more None GMO agriculture is a resource Small manufacturing will take its course Policies to ensure that there is growth Innovation and hard work, we will need both So as we celebrate at forty-seven years Remember from when we came with joy and tears Its not only about following a boat race The dream of the revolution we continue to chase Let us reflect on what we must do And remember it starts with me and you When you return to the shore The time is ripe to produce more Give of your best in whatever you do Anguilla’s greatness depends on you
