Tomorrow would have been my fathers 100th birthday. Dad, you were - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow would have been my fathers 100th birthday. Dad, you were a hard man, but you did some wonderful things with your life. As the youngest of three sobs born into a destitute immigrant family in the lower East Side of Manhattan, to owning and operating your own dress manufacturing business, to moving your wife and adopted son to California and becoming a successful real estate broker and syndicator, while at the same time supporting your parents and two brothers, you rose up from the depression to give all around you multiple blessings they couldnt have achieved without you. Many of the family are still grateful to what you taught us of living - honesty, integrity, love if family, responsibility, etc. I know I learned something. I see more of you in myself every day I continue to live. Its a shame that you left us at the age of 64, two years younger than I am today. I wish you would have had the surgery that might have saved your life. Mom did remarry, but shes lying next to you where she belongs, and Ill be around the both of you when its my turn. Happy Birthday, Dad. I love you. Mr. Ferguson
