Tomorrows Modern Boxes is predominantly electronic. Pitchfork wrote that the album blends Thom Yorkes vocals and piano playing with gllitchy textures and stuttering beats.[2] The AV Club likened the songs to the Radiohead tracks Like Spinning Plates (from 2001s Amnesiac) and The Gloaming (2003s Hail to the Thief), and described the albums music as eerie;[3] Slant Magazine called it neurotic, with a quiet, restrained sense of dread.[4]
