(Tonight Boxing) Sergio Martinez vs. Miguel Cotto - Listen folks, I am not one to pontificate, prognosticate, emulate, regurgitate, hyperventilate or even hesitate. So let me get to the point. Many have bought into the skillfully crafted propaganda regarding the mythical New Cotto and the magic of trainer Freddie Roach. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But, there is no new Cotto and Roach isnt a magician. He is a trainer of finished products - fighters well into their careers who for whatever reasons believe that he will be a difference maker. Tonight Roachs primary task will be deciding when to signal the referee to stop the carnage and save his fighter from serious damage. Cotto having lost two of his last three fights is hearing the fat lady clear her throat ready to sing a solo on his career. He is a huge draw but is a diminished former champion who will be retiring after tonights fight. I dont see Cotto making it to the final bell. After the third round, it will become glaringly obvious to his supporters that they have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray as their beloved fighter runs into Martinez and starts to go down slowly like the Titanic! Hopefully, no charges will be brought against Martinez for attempted murder! LOL. This is a mismatch of the highest order! Call me Hanson-damus!
