Tonight El piano saw the return of the wonderful James Gillan and what an opening night it was! His first set, accompanied by Stephen Michael on Piano was fun, consisting of a number of songs from a few of the many musical roles James has played. His friendly, relaxed style and sense of humor had everyone laughing at his anecdotes and comments and clapping and singing along to each of the songs. His second set of camp, sing along and up tempo numbers went down a storm and he brought the house to their feet with his breath taking rendition of the recent Eurovision hit, Rise Like A Phoenix which he delivered with feeling, conviction and a clear, powerful voice. A MUST see!
