Tonight (Friday Jan 17), the Jazz Journey concert series continues, at 7 pm at Dillard Universitys Lawless Memorial Chapel, with a special free performance by Kenny Garrett and his quintet. Also performing will be singer/songwriter/guitarist Raul Midón. The Jazz Journey series is a program of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. Kenny Garrett just received a nomination for a Grammy award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, for his album Pushing the World Away. No advance tickets are available, and seating is by general admission, so arrive early!
