Tonight I am beyond grateful to be here, in my home. I am happy - TopicsExpress

Tonight I am beyond grateful to be here, in my home. I am happy that I got to come home safely to my hubby and he could hug, play, and wrestle the boys after 24 hours apart. Today I had to drive with the boys from Wagoner (2.5 hours away). In this weather it took us almost 5 hours. I have NEVER and I mean NEVER more terrified in my life. I stopped twice. I called Ernest (I put him on speaker phone in the passenger seat) after swerving on the highway so that he could pray for me because I was so petrified and I felt like I just couldnt drive. Yet there was no where for 15 miles to stop (which took over an hour to drive). I was scared that I was risking my life and my precious boys. I told him he had to pray for peace and wisdom because I just knew we were going to wreck. I was crying and right after he prayed traffic came to a stand still but our car did not want to stop. I became hysterical yet composed enough not to swerve (if that is possible) and I was just screaming and crying hysterically to Ernest that the car wasnt stopping and I was about to rear end a truck...Literally less than an inch from hitting this truck the car stopped. I cried and thanked the Lord for keeping us safe. For the next 5 or 6 miles driving 20 mph or less our car continued to have issues with traction. I told Ernest that the on the next exit I was stopping even if we had to spend the night at a Mcdonalds. Ernest just stayed calm and encouraged me that I was ok and could in fact make it home. He stayed on the phone with me for over an hour and the boys and I made it home. Tonight I am not only grateful but I feel strengthened by the peace of God. I am also saying an extra prayer for all of my friends that have been affected by car accidents lately and those affected today! I dont know why we were spared but I am giving God the glory! #cherishinglifetoday
