Tonight, I am inconsolable. My dear, dear friend Jim Urick died this evening. I have been thinking of him so much during the last few days. And, apparently, he passed an hour ago. Please, please, please....get yourselves screened for colon cancer. I cant believe he is gone. He worked with me when I was a cops reporter at the Port St. Lucie News. I would work 14-hour days, go home to sleep and get up to do it all over again. Jim was a big part of that experience. Wed ride around together, while I would check police reports and then listen to the scanner and check out things. God, I will miss you, Jim.
