Tonight I joined a group called PFLAG. (Parents, Families and Friends, of Lesbians and Gays.). It is a group where families get together to share there feelings and find the love and acceptances that we all deserve. We need to get the word out to those families who are struggling; who are confused, angry, joyful, and fearful, after learning of their childs choice of lifestyle. These feelings and more I faced when my son told me he was gay. Many of the homeless children come from families who are unable to accept their childrens choices. Many homes are broken up, we need to keep families together. Please spread the word if you know someone who is struggling and needs to find a place where their is no judgement. The meetings are confidential. Contact Chapter President James DeLong @ 206-465-9507. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month. Next meeting will be on November 11th. It is held at the Unitarian Universalist church from 6:30-8:00 pm. It is located 4 miles past the Greenbank store on the south end near Freeland.
