Tonight I spent several hours helping my parents write the eulogy for my Aunt ie Cilles funeral tomorrow. They had gathered several memories and stories and I wove them together for my father who will deliver it. It was wonderful to walk down memory lane and a chance to get to know her all over again. She lived through the depression and world war 2, through the death of her first husband and the love of her life, through hard years where money was scarce and her dreams were robbed by a her second husband, she buried her son when he was only 50, she knew joy and heartache and she lived long enough to not only know her grand children, but her great grandchildren and her great great grandchild. Pretty remarkable. Im happy you are home Lucille. I love you and look forward to hearing your laughter on the other side...
