Tonight I was blessed enough to be able to have a visit with Mom - TopicsExpress

Tonight I was blessed enough to be able to have a visit with Mom and Donny. We do not know if the tumor is benign or not, but it was a diagnosis and CURE on the brain. Donny described the tumor as being a flat tumor rather that a sphere, about 3cm. But, as Ive said, it is easy to remove. The surgery will be at about 7am tomorrow and is expected to last 2-3 hours. This tumor is the cause of the recent problems she has been having. I just have to brag on this couple a little bit. This woman is probably the woman most like me than anyone else. This is the most ambitious woman I know. Growing up, this woman has shown me what a strong, hard-working, loving, ambitious, and God-fearing mother looks like. This woman is one of my best friends. And this woman has shaped the woman and mom that I am. I think about these things everyday, and how thankful I am for her. And my stepdad, well, I could probably write a whole book about how selfless, patient, and amazing he is. Even before the cancer, him becoming a part of our family just felt so perfect. He is a gentle soul, and Addy just ADORES him(well, all of us do). I am going to be honest for a minute, this has been one of those weeks that has been difficult to be strong. I do my best (especially having the kids), but there are times where I am mad, bursting into tears, pissed off, depressed, frustrated, sad, and mad at the world. There are also times where I am thankful, and intimate with God(sadly this is harder than Id like to admit). Sometimes I have to do everything I can to cling to God, because I cant understand why these things have to happen in life. I guess this was also one of those weeks where I needed to roll this out, and be a little real with you all. If you made it this far, thanks for reading! Please pray for the family, pray for comfort, healing, peace, and wisdom for the doctors and that the surgery is clean and as quick as it can go. Pray for Mom and Donny to get all of the rest and nourishment they need as well. Thank you all for being part of this group, and being with us in this journey.
