Tonight I went to the Gas station, and there was a man - TopicsExpress

Tonight I went to the Gas station, and there was a man showboating. He tried to buy some chips and cigarettes with a 100 dollar bill. The cashier did not have enough cash to make the change, so the man was condescending and violently threw everything at the cashier. After all was said and done, I asked the cashier if he was ok. Physically yes, but emotionally, no. He opened up to me and we talked for a while. He is a very kind, hard worker trying to support his family. Unfortunately, I see this all the time. We encounter people every day who serve us...retail, food, etc, yet sometimes we forget that they may have wives, kids, husbands, and friends waiting up all night for them...Hoping that they are safe. Everyone has their story and you can tell a lot by how a person treats others. We just sometimes dont get the chance to hear those stories because we are too wrapped up in our own. Our conversation ended with smiles and laughter. Tonight...Ive made a new friend.
