Tonight Im thankful for a wonderful hospital and the caring nurses and doctors who work there every day....devoting their lives to caring for patients....Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas is where all of my children came into this world. I spent too many days at that hospital during the twins pregnancy, but I did it gratefully, because I knew every single one of the days spent there, was to ensure that the twins were brought into this world fully developed and healthy. I remember the nights I spent there alone, even during the snowstorm of 2010, and the nurses would administer medicine...but they administered so much more. They shared stories, magazines, they laughed with me, they shared success stories of other women who had been on bed rest or who had early deliveries....they shared hope and smiles and always looked for ways to make the days easier...When the twins arrived, I unexpectedly had to spend the next 11 hours away from them, while the doctors performed another surgery on me for complications....and again, we had the most outstanding team of doctors and nurses who watched and cared for all of us around the clock and reunited us on the day of their birth at 1:00 a.m., moving us to our room and settling us in, as if it was in the middle of a day. So tonight, as I watch a Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital commercial, I pray that they will not have a stigma with them as a facility for any more days.....they have brought me the greatest joys of my life....and I know they will continue to be a top health care facility for years and years to come....I am so thankful for those who continue to serve in our health care industry, even in todays ever-changing world, full of challenges.
