Tonight, Our beloved Priest Father Louie performed his last mass at St Thomas, I am no different than any other member of the congregation in my feelings of selfish sadness as he retires to travel home to Ireland, for a simpler life of farming and to vicar to a small congregation of family and friends. I find comfort in knowing the amazing impact this Man of God had on my life and so many others. If it were 2000+ years back in time, I am confident that he would have been truly one of Jesuss apostles. No person in my life has ever touched my heart like Father Louie has and very few others have come close. We all are better people for having Louie lead us in our journey of faith. So with that being said, I pray that he enjoys every second of his retirement, because he has earned it and I also pray that our paths cross again. Go home Father Louis Lohan to guide your wonderful family and lifelong friends, because they so graciously allowed you to bring faith, hope, humor and love to our community for 44 years and its their turn to have your back among their fold.
