Tonight, The Lord really challenged me to surrender my phone (except for taking pics with my Youth Group) for this one week while we are away at Lexington, SC for the Next Step Mission Trip. Although I am constantly hearing from Him in the midst of being busy, the Spirit took it a step further by saying If you can hear clearly from me now in the midst of all these things you are involved with, just imagine how well you could hear from me when all these things are removed! Even for a week! And I truly want to know. The Lord inspired me through this verse: Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” (Acts 9:10 NKJV) Ananias was used mightily by Jesus simply because he was present. Ananias may have not even been the first person called or preferred by The Lord, but nevertheless He was the one who was sent because he was PRESENT. What are we doing to be present? To get away from the noise? If we were hearing from The Lord before, how much more when we put all things aside!!! I want to be present. With that being said, Ill talk to you all in a week!
