Tonight as I lay in my bed I think of all that has happened in the last 7 years. My best friend died. I was in 2 serious accidents that left me in chronic pain. My wolfhound died at only 4 years old. We had to sell our business because I couldnt work. Our son got cancer. Our daughter started having seziures. Our foster kids began to act out. Our son became anorexic. He stopped taking his chemo pills and hid it from us. One of our kids was taken from us during a visit to her brother... we never got to say good bye after having her for 8 years and never saw her again. Then our 2 daughters got married. There was a lot of hard feelings between them which made Don and I so sad. Then 3 of our foster kids accused us of abuse and were taken from us. The system decided we were guilty. We lost pretty much all our friends. And I have not been able to go to the church I love so dearly. I ended up in bed for nearly a whole year. Since the abuse scandal happened 2 of our foster kids recanted their stories and admitted they lied. One comes home to visit us ( which makes us so happy! We love them as our own!) The other one really wanted to move back in. We found out someone close to us talked them into lying and reporting us! How painful is that! But IN ALL OF THIS...GOD IS STILL GOOD! He will continue to make things better. We will never get our kids back but have decided to press on. I am back in school. I am going to teach handicapped people to ride and do animal therapy with those who need it. I am a survivor and I will fight to save my family and help them heal from all of this horrific nightmare!!!The nightmare will end and the dreams weve had will come true! To the very very few who did not leave us....THANK YOU SO MUCH AND BLESS YOU! God has seen what you have done for us and he is proud of you! For those of you who turned on us or left us. WE FORGIVE YOU! But you will still have to answer to God....and I am praying he will not be hard on you but have extreme mercy!
