Tonight goes far beyond football.. Tonights game is both in honor of Mothers Day and Breast Cancer awareness. Its a privilege to be able to represent two women who have been an incredible influence in my life. My mother, Betty Kirby is a woman whos character, love, kindness, and passion for life & people is far deeper than words can explain. You exemplify what a Godly woman looks like in ever way. You have pushed me to greatness by your extraordinary commitment to the things you do and the love with which you do it. I would not be even close to the man I am without you. This heart thats beatin inside my chest has been fashioned by your selflessness and sacrificial love.. a love that has moved me to pursue greatness each and every day. The second woman I want to take time to honor tonight is one of my closest friends mother, Diane Stammers. She is the epitome of what a resilient fighter looks like. She has been close to me since college and to see her perseverance in her battle with Breast Cancer has been simply amazing. Today she stands a victor in this battle and one of the more moving moments of my life was seeing her take the mother/son dance at her son, Wess, wedding. It was a day that illuminated the struggle that so many women & families are going through currently. So, tonight I walk out on that playing field representing two of the most influential women in my life. #WarReady
