Tonight marks the beginning of the competitive season for Drum Corps International. Our South Carolina drum corps, the Carolina Crown from Fort Mill, SC, is ranked #2 in the nation and they begin competition tonight in Mesa, AZ. These are young musicians between the ages of 16 to 21 that will spend their summer rehearsing daily, traveling by bus from competition to competition just for an opportunity to compete in the Finals in Indianapolis in August. This album shows what the past two weeks have been like for Crown members as they begin their journey west.
