Tonight shall go down as one of the worst nights in history. We pull in to the bar and see a band weve never heard of posted on the marquee. For tonight. Such and such band August 9th so we send our ambassador/GM (Amber) in to consult with the powers that be. Long story short they double booked us, but the other band cancelled. So they said Well since your here, well pay you 30% less than we agreed originally to just go ahead and play. So after discussing it we say, Sure, were already here, why not? We set up (our entire PA) and we kick off with a 14 song set. By the time we make it to song #6, the owner has came to the sound booth at least four times saying Its too loud. At this point, WE CANT EVEN HEAR OURSELVES. Keep in mind, we played this place a couple months ago at more than twice the volume that we were at tonight and the dance floor was PACKED. Tonight, less than 70 DBS was evidently too loud, because even though the owner said My customers are leaving because its too loud, the patrons only had great things to say, while the owner stood in the back and made a show of putting his fingers in his ears. Then to top it off, a couple of 200 pound military personnel meatheads blindside a good (120lb) friend of ours and beat the hell out of him while hes on the phone in the front of the establishment while we, (having long since had enough BS) were loading our equipment out the back. The perpetrators were LAW ENFORCEMENT AND MILITARY. Needles to say, we will not be back there.
