Tonight, the Rutherford County Democratic Party Executive Committee unanimously approved the following resolution brought to the floor by Mr. George Couch, calling on North Carolina Democratic Party Chair Randy Voller to resign, due to his "irresponsible and controversial decisions.": The Rutherford County Democratic Party Resolves: WHEREAS, Randy Voller, Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party, has as a result of his irresponsible and controversial decisions lost the confidence of Democratic Voters, elected officials, and longtime financial supporters. WHEREAS, we need to be focusing our efforts on electing Democratic Candidates and attracting financial support; THEREFORE, we call for the immediate resignation of Mr. Voller, and for the State Executive Committee to meet and elect his successor.
