Tonight the Town Manager presented his preliminary budget for FY15 - TopicsExpress

Tonight the Town Manager presented his preliminary budget for FY15 with a $1.5M deficit. It will be up to our Town Council to determine how we best move forward to balance that budget. Mike Driscoll presented an aggressive plan to pay down the unfunded pension liability by FY19 (3 years earlier than previously planned). I disagree with the Town Manager prioritizing increased allocations towards the unfunded liability as it will now push the Council to decrease expenditures, most likely for key infrastructure. Additionally, the Town Manager reported this evening a total of nearly $11M in unreserved funds for FY15.
