Tonight we have our #Sunday #Zouk night at Savage Garden and we got exciting news We have put a new scheme for the classes into place. We will run dance courses of 6 weeks each, which can be joined at any Sunday as the moves do not depend on each other. During the Fundamentals course we will dedicate the first 20 minutes for exercising connection, the basics and lateral steps. As these are so very important for Zouk this will be repeated throughout the 6 weeks course, while first timers concentrate on getting their footwork right, people attending the 3rd or 4th session can fine-tune their leading and grasp more detail. The Essentials and Intermediate courses will also run on a 6 weeks basis, but will introduce more specific exercises at the beginning pertaining to leading techniques, body isolation and musicality. Ladies head movements will be taught from Intermediate course onwards as they are complex and require very sound basics to avoid hurting your or your partners neck. The Advanced course will run for 10 weeks and 2 hours sessions to focus in detail on leading techniques and musicality enabling you to dance beautiful Zouk combinations on varying music styles on a international level. We will have an assessment day at every 3rd Sunday of the month (next is 21st March) for students to demonstrate all moves and techniques of the course before progressing to the next level. You will get a certificate of completion for each course and we hope the course structure will motivate people to attend classes regularly with a clear target in mind. If you have missed 1 class due to travel etc. we offer additional one-on-one feedback, preparation and catch-up sessions of 20 minutes for 50 AED with 1 instructor on request. This will also enable experienced dancers and fast learners to fast-track through the first levels very quickly. We do not only assess you, we have a team of assistant instructors trained by Nayan and they will be certified to teach under the Zouk ME brand, They will explain these moves in exactly the same way, ensuring a high quality and standardized method of teaching that will faster promote Zouk across the Middle East. Once our certification process is completed we will publish the teachers profiles on our website zouk-dubai for your reference. Tonight in the Zouk Essentials class from 8-9 pm we start teaching move E1 and in the Fundamentals class from 9-10 pm move F1. Price is 50 AED/person, kindly pay to Savage Garden Cashier and give the orange voucher to your instructor at the beginning of the class. This week also there is also an advanced workshop with Nayan from 8-10 pm for 100 AED/person. From 10 pm onwards we will play plenty of Zouk for you to dance and enjoy.
