Tonight we open The Noblemans Wedding by Pamela Morgan - the production is quite stunning - perhaps because Pamela Morgan is a musical genius? I was wondering if geniuses know that are genius, but fyi, I have experimented on Pamela and discovered the answer. Nope, geniuses dont know they are geniuses. And for Pamela fans: she looks all the maestro she is in her black floor-length evening gown. Keith Roberts and I are having a tulle-fest and we are taking tulle to a new level, and I am loving it. I think Keith and I are in tulle and bridal netting heaven. Yes, for my loyal fan base of 15 - The Noblemans Wedding has a wedding dress in it....I know obvious, but what luck for me and my 15 loyal fans who are committed to the wedding dress oeuvre. Right now we are sorely missing Charles Tomlinson...(Trivia - Charlie wore a wedding dress in my Toronto Harbourfront production of Cult of the Personality.) I have alot of favorite lines - but I have to say when Erik Mrakovcic belts out I am a Bold Rover and I am sorely - DEPRESSED - its like 1700s is today. With the songs he sings to Nancy - no wonder she falls for him even though hes utterly broke...Also thrilled with the waves and the shadow play....I know I sound like a dizzy 14 year old in this post - but the reparatory rehearsal period is brutal way to live for even a few weeks, and yet there is this flower that has bloomed. Feeling grateful - if that makes sense?
