Tonights Devotion is a reminder to us...... Release others from ill or negative thoughts toward that person on your part! Our Verse......You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many. Genesis 5:20 Josephs father, Jacob, has just died. Joseph and his brothers have just buried their father. The brothers are now afraid Joseph will have his revenge on them. When we hold onto negative thoughts about the actions of other people, we restrict God in being able to work in us. We must learn to trust and relinquish those thoughts to Him, otherwise we risk hurting ourselves further with any action we may take. Joseph had already given his negative thoughts to God; seeing the fruits of that decision over and over! He assured his brothers, he meant them no harm! Our Question Tonight::::::: What negative thoughts might I be holding toward other peoples actions? Our Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, please give us the strength to let go of any ill feelings and thoughts we may have toward someone that has wronged us! Lord, show us the way to relinquish those negative feelings to You, so that our hearts may heal and we wont further harm ourselves by negative actions! In Jesus precious name, Amen.
