Tonights tidbit: Canadian fusion company general fusion is making a reactor that uses giant steam hammers to compress liquid metal around plasma donuts. Tonight I feel a bit more hopeful. There are two problems that the world faces, that threaten to lock us into cages of eternal servitude. One is our lack of a clean and cheap energy source and the other is the vampiric financial system that crushes true investment and worships market efficiency above human dignity. Seems like one of them might be solved before I have a family. The other one, man, I have no idea how to tackle that one save a worldwide mushroom feast. Either psilocybin or uranium bearing shrooms. I would vastly prefer the former.
