Tonto Dikeh attempted to commit suicide Celebrities — 12 August 2013 Tonto Dikeh attempted to commit suicide The past few months shed light on the actress in so many ways than we ever knew of especially regarding her attacks on Mercy Johnson and have been wondering since then what really is bothering her. Tonto Dikeh is a very good actress and no one disputes that. However, being an actress and public figure makes you an icon for so many people for inspiration. Although the private life of artistes should remain their private life, it becomes also a concern for fans who want them to remain healthy, be happy in their private lives, and in-turn give out their best when they come on screen for each movie role they act in. Right from the attacks on Mercy, it was apparent that something was wrong with Tonto and that she isn’t really the person many have known her to be. Then came the revelation about the weed smoking which she denied about, and followed that up with revelations about how her mother passed away since she was age 3 and had to fend for herself all through life to get to where she is now. She has also had episodes of relationship issues including with Iyanya, the musician who was dating both Tonto and Yvonne Nelson at the same time, and Yvonne later came out to claim that Tonto was the one who stole her man away from her. This all doesn’t add up, and points to deeper problem that is bothering her. Yesterday, she sent out this message: “Woke up happy and decided to share this: I have been here before and I can tell you we are stronger than our problems and pains. That day, I realized SUICIDE is for COWARDS. If you’ve got no one to talk to like me, I suggest you start with God. This shit (world) is crazy but it is ours. Don’t leave it in shame. I love you.” Her message above clearly tells that she is bothered, that a lot of things are going through her mind that no other person knows about. Tonto is currently not in good terms with most of her colleagues, and many more movie producers and directors are getting upset and threatening not to use her in movies for her behavior towards them. What she needs now are friends who will be close to her to provide her emotional support and maybe find out what is really affecting her. Every Nollywood fan loves to see Tonto Dikeh movies and we hope she stays strong and healthy. Do you have any advice for her as well?
