Tony Abbott appears to want Commonwealth public sector workers to suffer a real wage cut after endorsing a pitiful 1.5% pay rise - less than inflation - for Australian Defence Force personnel earlier this week. With enterprise bargaining negotiations for 165,000 public sector workers on the brink of breakdown, the Community and Public Sector Union is saying enough is enough. A rally will be held in Canberra today to send a clear message to the Abbott Government that it is time to end the posturing and strike a fear deal. Its on in Garema Place from 12.30pm to 1pm.
