Tony Abbott does it again. I first said, just after the election, that Tony Abbott would be an embarrassment diplomatically, and sure enough, he has lived up to this.The latest gaff, before a meeting of the leaders of the 19 biggest countries and economies and with a television audience of hundreds of millions, all of whom would have been expecting words of vision and practicality in respect to the big issues such as international taxation, economic growth, climate change, increasing employment, especially among women etc, he comes out with a whinge about not being able to get his $7 co payment legislation through, and saying that coal is the future. This last just a few days after the leaders of the worlds two biggest economies had reached an historic agreement to substantially reduce the use of coal, and other means to reduce emissions. This man is a huge embarrassment with a pygmy intellect. The Liberal Party must surely by now realize that he is, and will remain, a political liability with an election less than two years away, and that he must be replaced as leader at the earliest possible time.
