Tony Stewart is my NASCAR driver. I have watched several different videos of the incident last night in which another driver was struck and died. I mean no disrespect to the person who died but I do believe this was an unfortunate accident, Tony did not purposely hit him. Those of you who are dedicated racing fans know it is not safe or permitted to walk out on the track unless all cars are stopped. Drivers have been penalized for this in the past. The driver who died made a terrible decision by allowing his anger to put him in a dangerous position. I have read so many nasty comments blaming Tony, accusing him of purposely running over Ward. Anyone who believes that should question their thought process. There is absolutely no way a driver with the years of experience Stewart has, a NASCAR 3 time champ, co-owner of a successful team, Stewart-Haas Racing, would purposely hit anyone, as Tony himself in the past has also ran onto the track in anger following a crash. He has been labeled as hot headed but he is not stupid. He would not risk everything it took years of hard work to accomplish just to prove a point. He freely gives to many charities that benefit animal and human welfare, has established The Tony Stewart Foundation, and has helped numerous young drivers along with preventing the closure of tracks, benefiting the communities and drivers. He is a caring, compassionate person, not a murderer. This is something he will not be able to forget, the pain he is going through due to this accident has to be unbearable. No matter what the outcome of the investigation, I fully support Tony Stewarts innocence, and express my condolences to the deceased drivers family. #tonystewart
